About WallTheArt
WallTheArt presents original textile works and selected gallery editions for contemporary interiors and considered collections.
Our position
Existing motifs, wear, repair and irregularity are not treated as background noise. They form part of the visual intelligence of the work. Contemporary composition and surface intervention may enter that history, but they should not erase it.
What guides the programme
Selection before accumulation.
Age, pile, repair, color and construction remain visible parts of the work.
Works are selected for visual presence and resolved as individual compositions, not treated as repeatable decoration.
Technique, material, construction and condition details are documented individually for each work.
Scale, architecture and daily living matter. A work should hold its presence beyond the product page.
Istanbul · New York
WallTheArt’s perspective begins with the material cultures surrounding Anatolian textiles and extends toward an international audience of collectors, designers and visually curious homes. The aim is not to flatten one context into another, but to let works travel with their material character intact.
The programme
Two bodies of work share one visual world while retaining different collecting propositions.
Singular textile works with individual material, construction, condition and catalogue records. Sold works remain visible as part of the archive.
A deliberately limited selection of canvas and glass works, presented with a quieter and more accessible edition structure.
How we describe a work
Material and process terms are used work by work. A piece is described as hand-knotted, handwoven, painted, sprayed or airbrushed only where that information is confirmed for the specific work.
People and practice
Phase one centres available works, material information and the collecting experience. Artist records, studio notes and extended biographies can be introduced as the programme develops and where they add meaningful context.
